My Favorite “Business” Purchases from Amazon.com

Like almost everyone else on the planet I have an Amazon Prime account.  Below are just a few of my favorite “business” purchases from Amazon.  I used the quotes because these items don’t necessarily all relate to business.  But for the most part, they’re the products that I have used that I recommend and will keep using in the future.

Please note these are affiliate links.  However, I’m only recommending products that have worked for me and that I love.  There’s been a lot of trial & error in the products I’ve listed below.

Personal Work Space

Gunnar Computer Glasses
Grinding hard on a computer was hurting my eyes once upon a time. I went with these glasses back in 2012 and I still use them today. They’re more expensive then other brands but I like how it wraps around and that they’re super light. I’ve tried the cheaper ones and they’re not as good.  Go with the Gunnar’s.

Logitech MX Wireless Mouse
I’ve tried plenty of other ones here as well and this one is hand’s down the best.  Doesn’t even feel like you’re holding a mouse.  You can use it on multiple surfaces and once you go to this mouse you don’t go back to the others.  Except…

Anker Vertical Ergonomic Mouse
This is the other mouse that I have.  I prefer the Logitech MX Wireless Mouse for my desktop at home.  I use the Anker as my travel mouse.  It’s cheap and doesn’t take up much space when moving around.  I can’t stand using the mouse track pad on laptops and this one gets the job done.

ZAQ Noor Essential Oil Diffuser
The best diffuser I’ve used.  I tried a USB once upon a tome.  It worked for about one week.  This oil diffuser lasted me two years, so I think it’s worth the money.  I’m actually about to reorder it now after the cheaper USB option didn’t work.

Peppermint Kis Oil
If you bought a diffuser, than you need the oils.  I tried all their blends and thought peppermint was the best one. These are the best valued oils for sure.

Kensington Memory Foam Seat Rest
Best seat rest.  I’ve tried the bigger foam ones and this one is much better.

Plantronics Bluetooth Headset
I’ve tried multiple headsets and this one blows the other ones away.  I’m not one of those guys who walks around in public with it on.  I use it to take calls while I’m on the computer.  It’s a game changer on how much more efficient you can be with a headset.  I would definitely stay away from the ones around your neck.  Those suck.

The Bedroom & Other Fun Stuff

Wake-up Light Alarm Clock
Get your morning started with birds chirping and man made light.  It’s a much calmer way to wake up.

Amazon Echo Dot
This is a great item for quick music at your parties.  Work from home and need a friend?  The Echo Dot is a great opportunity.

Battery Operated Candles
Setting the mood with a lady friend?  Try going with these candles.  Get a few sets.  You’ll thank me later.  They look like the real thing.  For under $20, you can’t go wrong.

Stamina In-Motion Elliptical Trainer
I did a stand-up desk once upon a time.  Instead of going full treadmill desk this ended up being a much cheaper and more efficient way. Definitely the best bang for the buck.

Electric Crackling Wood Log
Trying to set the mood with a new lady friend?  This in combination with the battery operated candles will do you wonders.  It actually crackles as well.  One of my all-time favorite buys.

Traveling Items

External Battery Pack
This bad boy was a life saver during my last trip.  I’ve tried the smaller battery packs but they don’t get the job done.  This power bank has 16750mAh and can charge your typical phone over 5 times before it runs out of juice.

The Books & Journals

Entreleadership
Dave Ramsey is a wise man.  You’d be wise to purchase this.  Easily one of my favorite business books.

Time Management In an Instant: 60 Ways to Make the Most of Your Day
Great tips on how to be more efficient.  They’re simple, practical, and logical.  Could you ask for much more?

The Freedom Journal
I just started using the Freedom Journal.  It’s helped me re-focus my goals.  It actually inspired me to go ahead and start this personal website and help me focus on my own brand.

Our Q&A a Day: 3-Year Journal for 2 People
Not exactly a “business” book but if keeping your spouse while building your company is a priority then I’d suggest investing in this thing.  I’ve been writing in it with my future wife and it really helps us appreciate each other just a little bit more.

Tools of Titans
This is a good manual to come back to and revisit from time to time.  Tim Ferriss created an encyclopedia of the world’s top entrepreneur’s with a few pages dedicated to each one.  From Tim, “This book contains the distilled tools, tactics, and ‘inside baseball’ you won’t find anywhere else. It also includes new tips from past guests, and life lessons from new ‘guests’ you haven’t met.  What makes the show different is a relentless focus on actionable details. This is reflected in the questions. For example: What do these people do in the first sixty minutes of each morning? What do their workout routines look like, and why? What books have they gifted most to other people? What are the biggest wastes of time for novices in their field? What supplements do they take on a daily basis?”
